fIRST NIGHT CONT...
Weary and disgruntled I walked till I had covered quite a distance and just when I was going to give up and turn myself in, who did I stumble on but the clique of five thieves. They greeted me with pats on my back, oblivious to the fact that I fairly steamed with anger. Before I could get my two cents of fury in, they began to walk. I hesitated only for a second straight away realising I needed their company, I caught up with them. “What a day” I mused. Soon we reached a hotel, and they lodged us in, we booked a suite with all its trappings and for the next several hours, I forgot about where I was, what got me here and so on. We had fun, that much I remember games, sports, dancing and tree climbing of the strangest kind where monkeys swung us upside down and I climbed mine unaided without the monkeys. Finally we got back to the hotel room and I remembered that I knew one of them in another dream, the leggy girl to be precise. We had not parted on good terms we both recalled and it was with me besting her at something. Before we could take our time to reminisce, there was commotion just outside and we all rushed out realising that our erstwhile haven was now swarming with cops.
In the corridor, the hotel had become a hospital, and I saw the short brown haired thief being wheeled out of the hospital by a nurse who startlingly resembled the goofy girl thief. My suspicions were confirmed when she winked at me. As for the others, I had no idea where they went to. “What to do”, I wondered, remembering my aptitude for disguise with my pair of glasses, I wore them and just in the nick of time. As I spun around two females dressed like super agents clamped their arms on my shoulder, and said “we’ve got you Reny”, but then they swiftly apologised when they took ‘a better look’. I raced towards the exit of the hotel which now looked like an arrival lounge in an airport and crept out of the hospital. For once the police were hot on their trail and not on mine. I had no money and I needed to get to Mushin, in order to get a bus home. I flagged down a vehicle with some old people in it, and gave them my best stranded pussy cat look that I could muster and asked if they were going my way, and naturally it worked. I got in, and threw my head back against the settee. How to clear my name I finally wondered, do I turn myself in, I asked, why should the police believe me since until the shooting in the bush path, they had no idea how many the thieves were involved. “Ah, what to do”. I groaned, and then… I woke up!!!!
